Welcome to Elizabeth Hughes Counselling. I'm Liz, a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor based in Victoria, BC. I Sharing with a trusted person can offer perspective, healing and growth.
My counselling services
I offer a range of counselling services tailored to meet your unique needs. My goal is to provide a supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, develop coping strategies, and work towards a more fulfilling life.
Individual therapy
My one-on-one counselling sessions focus on building a comfortable rapport and in the process, a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients. I use a collaborative approach where we work as a team on your goals for counselling. When life feels hard or you can't see around the next corner, you don't have to deal with it alone.
Therapeutic approach
My practice modalities are person-centred and tailored for the needs of my clients. I use Person-Centred Counselling, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Internal Family Systems among others.

About Elizabeth
I am a retired nurse and practising Registered Therapeutic Counsellor, based in Victoria, British Columbia. I'm passionate about helping people heal and find agency in their lives. I am trauma informed and have experience with clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, difficult life transitions, workplace burnout (particularly in the health professions), grief and relationship issues.
